The Communicable Disease Division (CDD) of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene provides reference and specialized testing services in support of public health and ensures statewide access to laboratory expertise and capabilities in the disciplines of Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Virology, Parasitology, Molecular Microbiology, and Serology.

• During the current outbreak, testing and transport of specimens for measles is available at no cost to the submitter.
• Request WSLH test # 3214 for Measles PCR and WSLH test # 2814 for Measles IgM tests.
• Transport via Dunham Express is available at no cost to the submitter during the current outbreak if you tell the Dunham Express office to bill to WSLH account # 7263 (NOTE:  If transporting specimens via Dunham Express on a Friday, you must specify that you want “Saturday delivery” for the specimen.)
