Instructions to receive P.A.C.E. Credits for Approved Programs

(P.A.C.E. = Professional Acknowledgement for Continuing Education)

The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) programs that provide P.A.C.E. credits are administered through the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Wisconsin (ASCLS-WI). The ASCLS-WI is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. Program.

P.A.C.E. credits are available for up to one year after the original event.  Following are instructions to apply for P.A.C.E. credits for WSLH programs.

• For programs that occurred before February, 2009, complete the P.A.C.E. attendance form that is provided on the program’s “Materials” page and fax it to “WCLN” at 608-265-9091.  After the form is received, you will be forwarded certificates in the mail.

• In February 2009, ASCLS implemented an on-line process to award P.A.C.E. credits.

• To receive P.A.C.E. credit for teleconferences (live or archived) or other events that occur after February 2009, please listen for and record the code # which will be announced at the end of the program.

• After completion of the audioconference or other program, go to the program’s listing under “Past WSLH Events” at the WSLH website to find the link to the “ASCLS CE Organizer” website.

• The first time you access the ASCLS CE Organizer website, you will be required to sign up for an account and create a User Name and Password, which you will use to log-in to the site on future visits.

• Once you have logged into the site, go to the “Certificates” section of the site and choose the teleconference or other event for which you want to receive P.A.C.E. credit.

• Enter the code number that was announced at the end of the program.

• You can immediately print out your certificate of attendance.
