Case Conference
Current Case: 2006A
Case List Beginning in 1996, we began to present "Case of the Month" - interesting cases on a monthly basis. Each case starts with a description of the symptoms and/or phenotypes of the patient. A link is then offered to the complete karyotype for the case and often a further explanation with more paired chromosomes or diagrams. In 1999, the format was changed to "Case Conference" - which was intended to be more of a learning experience for those interested in cytogenetics. Each case starts with the description as before, but then you link to the metaphase spread from one cell of the case. This metaphase can be printed or analyzed on screen to determine the abnormality. After your analysis, you may link to the full karyogram to compare results. A discussion of the result follows with additional images. Navigational links are at the left of each page: - Case Conferences - (this page)
- Case description - the starting page for each case
- Metaphase
- Karyogram
- Other images - partial karyotypes, schematics, FISH photos, etc.

- Case List - a complete list of every "Case of the Month" and "Case Conference"
- Cytogenetic Nomenclature - a list with explanation of the letters, numbers and punctuation used in the official report of cytogenetic findings
