Summary I am interested in environmental chemistry as it relates to surface water and drinking water quality. I have been actively involved in developing the facilities and instrumental capabilities to detect environmental pollutants at very low levels to support the programs and research of the University of Wisconsin, governmental agencies in Wisconsin and Midwestern States. We currently have the ability to measure phosphorus at the ppb level, trace metals at the ppt level and mercury well below a ppt. We are currently researching new techniques for measuring ultra-low levels of metals in fine-air particulates. I have also been actively involved in providing educational outreach for commercial and municipal laboratories in Wisconsin. Return to EHD Researcher Biographies
