A Summary of the Emergence of SAR-CoV-2 and WI Laboratory Response

Description of Session:

This presentation will summarize the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in 2020 from a laboratory standpoint, including the virus emerging from China, spreading in the U.S, and an up-to-date epidemiologic situation statewide and nationwide. The presentation will discuss building diagnostic PCR capacity, antibody sero-surveys and other studies, and antigen test evaluations.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.

This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
