The Wisconsin Newborn Screening (NBS) Laboratory web site is dedicated to promoting and encouraging the sharing of knowledge, communication and resources with health care agencies, families, and anyone else interested in NBS for the benefit of babies born in Wisconsin.

* Effective Oct. 1, 2011, infants born in Wisconsin will no longer be screened for Short chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (SCAD), 2-methylbutyryl CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (2MBCD), and Isobutyryl CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (IBD). Please contact the Newborn Screening Laboratory for information on disorders than can be detected by newborn screening (608-262-4692).
