Webcast: Evaluating Toxicity of Aircraft De-Icing Products MADISON – The WSLH is participating in a two-year research study funded by the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies to evaluate the toxicity and biological oxygen demand (BOD)associated with aircraft de-icer products. WSLH Organic Chemistry Supervisor Steve Geis provides the WSLH Board with an overview of the project, including research to identify promising alternative de-icing formulations.
