Webcast: Cytotechnology Education Evolution - Not Just Pap Smears Anymore MADISON – For decades students in the WSLH School of Cytotechnology have learned using microscopes to evaluate the size, shape and color of both the nucleus and cytoplasm in almost every cell in the body to determine if there are abnormalities, such as cancer. As the program now becomes affiliated with the UW-Madison Genetics Department, the focus is shifting to prepare students to blend the clinical applications of cell morphology and molecular diagnostics. School Manager Michele Smith explains these exciting changes in this presentation, given at the WSLH on December 14, 2010. Watch the Webcast: (Windows Media, 225 kbps)
