Jensen Metal Receives SHARP Award Renewal From OSHA and WSLH

RACINE, Wis. -- WisCon staff recently honored Jensen Metal Products, Inc. for maintaining its SHARP safety and health status. Representatives from Jensen, a custom metal products fabricator in Racine, received a plaque recognizing the renewal of the company's SHARP status. The renewal lasts three years.

The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) honors small and medium employers that operate exemplary safety and health management systems, while also maintaining an injury and illness rate below the national average for their industry. The award is given by the WSLH WisCon Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Jensen Metal received its initial SHARP award in 2005. To be eligible for SHARP renewal, the company was re-inspected by WisCon health and safety consultants to ensure it had maintained a full and effective safety and health management system and continued to have injury and illness rates below industry averages.
