Schoeneck Containers Receives SHARP Award Renewal From OSHA and WSLHNew Berlin, Wis. -- WisCon staff recently honored Schoeneck Containers, Inc. for maintaining its SHARP safety and health status. Representatives from Schoeneck Containers, a manufacturer of blow molded containers in New Berlin, received a plaque recognizing the renewal of the company's SHARP status. This is Schoeneck's third SHARP renewal and it lasts three years. The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) honors small and medium employers that operate exemplary safety and health management systems, while also maintaining an injury and illness rate below the national average for their industry. The award is given by the WSLH WisCon Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Schoeneck Containers received its initial SHARP award in 2004. To be eligible for SHARP renewal, the company was re-inspected by WisCon health and safety consultants to ensure it had maintained a full and effective safety and health management system and continued to have injury and illness rates below industry averages.
