Cadmium Research Published in Journal of the National Cancer Institute

MADISON, Wis. – WSLH researcher Dr. Martin Shafer and colleagues from UW-Madison and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Seattle, Wash.) had their research on Cadmium Exposure and Breast Cancer Risk published this week in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

Shafer has a split appointment in the WSLH Environmental Health Division and the UW College of Engineering's Environmental Chemistry and Technology program.

Cadmium levels in urine samples for this study were measured using the ICP-MS in the WSLH trace metals laboratory.
