Audio Conference Program Audio Conferences
About WSLH Audio Conference Program The WSLH Audio conference program provides continuing education opportunities for clinical laboratory professionals and other science-related disciplines. The conferences provide the latest developments on breaking issues using teleconference technology. The audio conference program as a distance learning tool allows participants to connect directly from their laboratory or office to a presentation via a telephone bridge. The audio conferences are scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and generally consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question and answer period. The audio portion is provided over a telephone line and viewing material is provided as a Powerpoint file and PDF handout. The Powerpoint file and other materials will be posted and available for download at the “Training & Outreach” section of our web site prior to the scheduled audio conference date. An email or fax notification will be sent to you shortly before the program date. If you have a question about the audio conference program or questions about a specific program offering, please contact:
Carol Kirk 608-262-1021 Connection instructions for audio conferences The audio conference is broadcast over standard telephone lines. A single electronic bridge connects all incoming participant phone lines to the broadcast location. After you have registered, bridge connection instructions for a particular program will be forwarded to your facility shortly before the broadcast date. An 800 toll-free bridge connection will be provided to participants needing long distance phone service connection and a local bridge number for Madison area participants. On the day of the program, dial the bridge telephone number 5 to 10 minutes prior to the scheduled program time. Your telephone line will be automatically connected to the broadcast. At this time, activate the mute button on your telephone and remain on mute throughout the broadcast to minimize background noise level. During the question and answer period, if you would like to ask a question or make a comment, simply un mute your telephone. After your question has been addressed or if you have no further questions or comments, please return your phone line to mute. Should you be disconnected from the broadcast, simply redial the bridge connection number. We do ask participants to evaluate each of our programs. Evaluations serve as a critical feedback measure for program quality and provide guidance for development of future program material. Your comments are appreciated and assist us in our assessment process. Professional Acknowledgement for Continuing Education: Our P.A.C.E. program is administered through the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Wisconsin (ASCLS-WI). The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Wisconsin is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. Program. After your completed P.A.C.E. application forms are received, you will be forwarded certificates in the mail. WSLH audio conference programs will offer P.A.C.E. credit whenever possible.
