Description:

The speakers will provide a brief overview of the outcomes of the September 2008 proficiency exercise and the agent that was simulated in the exercise. Specific information about the agent will include public health aspects, history, and epidemiology of the agent, clinical information, characteristics of the organism, clinical testing, and laboratory safety issues.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.

This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.

Please note that the deadline for receiving P.A.C.E. education credit for this teleconference is December 10, 2009.
