Description:
This one half-day session is
being presented by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene for Wisconsin clinical laboratory
professionals. The workshop will provide “hands on” training in Gram stain
techniques used in clinical microbiology. The participants will be able to
perform, read and report Gram stains from clinical specimens. Quality control and troubleshooting
techniques will also be discussed.
Target Audience: This workshop is intended for laboratory professionals currently working
in a Wisconsin laboratory.
The workshop is designed to provide training to the “inexperienced”
technologist or the “Generalist” who rotates through microbiology. The workshop is not intended for the
experienced technologist or microbiologist. REGISTRATION: Is available by FAX ONLY, using the form in
the brochure. A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 3.5 contact hours of instruction toward credit.
This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
