The Bioaerosols unit offers testing for common indoor allergens. The analysis is performed by a quantitative ELISA method on air and bulk dust samples. The method is highly specific for target proteins and can detect as little as 0.08 micrograms per gram for dust samples and 7.8 nanograms per filter for air samples.
Currently WOHL provides allergen testing for:
- Dust mite (Der p 1, Der f 1)
- Cockroach (Bla g 1, Bla g 2)
- Rat (Rat n 1)
- Mouse (Mus m 1)
Contact the laboratory if you need other allergens. We are currently validating a method for latex allergens.
