Metals analysis has been a foundation of WOHL since its inception in 1937. In the 1970s, WOHL was one of the first laboratories in the country to use Inductively Coupled Plasma technology, now an industry standard. WOHL was also one of the first labs to become accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association for environmental lead analysis, earning its certification in 1995.
