SUMMARY:WCLN Webinar - The Continued Need for Immunizations in 2016
DESCRIPTION:The Continued Need for Immunizations in 2016\nPresenter: \n\nStephanie Schauer\, Ph.D.\, Immunization Program Manager\, Wisconsin Immunization Program\, Bureau of Communicable Diseases\, Wisconsin Department of Health Services\n\nDescription of Session: \nThis session will provide background on how vaccines work\, and how they provide protection to an individual as well as a community (such as herd immunity). Real life examples (e.g. mumps\, measles and pertussis) will be discussed to demonstrate the differences in vaccine efficacy and the importance of continuing to vaccinate. Common myths surrounding vaccination will also be addressed. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates. You will be asked for a code number to print the certificate. We will provide you this number during the webinar. \nPlease note that the deadline for receiving P.A.C.E. education credit for this webinar is April 13\, 2017.\n \nMaterials:\n\n Evaluation Form\n The Continued Need for Immunizations in 2016 – Presentation\n The Continued Need for Immunizations in 2016 – Handouts\nWCLN Webinar: The Continued Need for Immunizations in 2016
