DESCRIPTION:Thermal Dimorphs of Wisconsin: Histoplasma and Blastomyces\nPresenter: \n\nSarah Stoner\, M.S.\, MB(ASCP)CM\, is the Microbiology Technical Lead at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse\, WI\n\nDescription of Session: \nSystemic fungi can cause debilitating disease and can be a challenge for laboratories to identify and the clinician to diagnose. This webinar will discuss the epidemiology\, clinical features\, and laboratory diagnosis of two of the systemic fungi seen more frequently in Wisconsin\, Histoplasma and Blastomyces. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates.
