Yao\, M.D.\, D(ABMM)\, Director of Hepatitis/HIV Laboratory\, Division of Clinical Microbiology\, Dept. of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology\, Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Laboratories\, Rochester\, MN\n\nDescription of Session: \nThis webinar will highlight the latest Medicare administrative contractors (MAC) reimbursement criteria and rules finalized in October 2022 on molecular syndromic panels for infectious disease pathogen identification testing.  Implications of these rules for clinicians and potential approaches of diagnostic stewardship to encourage judicious use of these panel tests will be discussed. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates.
