DESCRIPTION:Emerging Laboratory Diagnostic Options for Sexually-transmitted Infections\nPresenters: \n\nErik Munson\, Ph.D.\, Technical Director\, Wheaton Franciscan Laboratory\, Milwaukee\, WI\n\nDescription of Session: \nUnder-utilization of appropriate diagnostic modalities could result in missed opportunities for sexually-transmitted infection diagnosis. Moreover\, a past perception that testing options for sexually-transmitted infection in males were non-existent is changing as a result of molecular diagnostics. The purpose of this session is to discuss these emerging diagnostic modalities. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates.
