SUMMARY:WCLN Webinar – Clinical Laboratory Preparedness and Response Guide - What’s New?
DESCRIPTION:Clinical Laboratory Preparedness and Response Guide – What’s New?\nPresenter: \n\nErin Bowles\, B.S.\, MT(ASCP)\,  Wisconsin Clinical Laboratory Network Coordinator\, State Training Coordinator and Co-Biosafety Officer\, Communicable Disease Division\, Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene\n\nDescription of Session: \nTrue laboratory preparedness and response assumes a coordinated effort and response from all laboratories in the U.S. that comprise the Laboratory Response Network (LRN). With that in mind\, State Training Coordinators from across the U.S. have collaborated to create a single Preparedness and Response Guide that all laboratories can refer to in an emergent situation that requires laboratory response.  Whether the situation be biological\, chemical\, overt\, or covert the new “Clinical Laboratory Preparedness and Response Guide” provides the information to help your clinical laboratory respond appropriately. \nThis webinar will provide a brief history of the creation of the document\, followed by a brief review of the contents of the document.  The main focus of the webinar will be discussing where to find the document and when and how laboratories should use the document.  Sections of the document that clinical laboratories will likely find to be the most useful will be highlighted. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates. You will be asked for a code number to print the certificate. We will provide you this number during the webinar. \nPlease note that the deadline for receiving P.A.C.E. education credit for this webinar is January 18\, 2018.\n \nMaterials:\n\n Evaluation Form\n Clinical Laboratory Preparedness and Response Guide – What’s New? – Presentation\n Clinical Laboratory Preparedness and Response Guide – What’s New? – Handouts\nWCLN Webinar: Clinical Laboratory Preparedness and Response Guide – What’s New? – 2016
