DESCRIPTION:Blood Banking in India: Ten Years After\nPresenter: \n\nSusan T. Johnson\, MSTM\, MT(ASCP)SBB\, Director of Clinical Education\, BloodCenter of Wisconsin\, Milwaukee\, WI\n\nDescription of Session: \nEnsuring safe blood transfusion is important worldwide.  In India\, pretransfusion testing practices are not on the same level as developed countries.  This is in part due to lack of resources and education. Listen and learn how one small group of individuals passionate about immunohematology approached sustainable improvements through education to help strengthen pretransfusion testing practices in India. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates. You will be asked for a code number to print the certificate.
