DESCRIPTION:The Mosquitoes We Live With and the Diseases They Harbor (Part 2)\nPresenter: \n\nRebecca Osborn\, MPH\, is an Epidemiologist specializing in vectorborne diseases in the Communicable Diseases Bureau at the Wisconsin Division of Public Health in Madison\, WI.\nDave Geske\, is a Vector Ecologist at La Crosse County Health Department where he directs a regional vector-borne disease control program which provides services to twelve Wisconsin and Minnesota Counties.\n\nDescription of Session: \nThis presentation will discuss the endemic arboviral diseases occurring in WI\, how they are diagnosed\, and their public health implications. The presentation will review Zika virus surveillance and diagnostic tools\, as well as the overall goals of arbovirus surveillance in WI.  Vector control will also be discussed. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates.
