DESCRIPTION:A Summary of the Emergence of SAR-CoV-2 and WI Laboratory Response\nPresenter: \n\nAllen Bateman\, Ph.D.\, MPH\, D(ABMM)\, Assistant Director\, Communicable Disease Division\, Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene\n\nDescription of Session: \nThis presentation will summarize the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in 2020 from a laboratory standpoint\, including the virus emerging from China\, spreading in the U.S\, and an up-to-date epidemiologic situation statewide and nationwide. The presentation will discuss building diagnostic PCR capacity\, antibody sero-surveys and other studies\, and antigen test evaluations. \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates.
