DESCRIPTION:A Peek Behind the Curtain\nPresenter: \n\nBlake Buchan\, Ph.D.\, D(ABMM)\, Associate Professor\, Department of Pathology\, The Medical College of Wisconsin; and Associate Director\, Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics for Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories\n\nDescription of Session: \nThis session will provide an overview of culture-dependent and culture-independent laboratory diagnostic methods with a focus on strengths\, weaknesses\, and appropriate utilization of assays used for bacterial identification in the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates. You will be asked for a code number to print the certificate.
