DESCRIPTION:2023-2024 Respiratory Virus Season Update\n  \nPresenters: \n\nAllen Bateman\, Ph.D.\, D(ABMM)\, Director of Communicable Disease Division\, Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene\nErika Hansen\, M.S.\, Virology Lead\, Communicable Disease Division\, Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene\n\nDescription of Session: \nThis webinar will provide a review of the 2022 – 2023 respiratory virus season and will highlight our surveillance strategies and challenges for 2023-2024\, based on our expectations\, for the upcoming respiratory virus season. \nAdditional topics that will be discussed include a background on SARS-CoV-2\, influenza\, and other respiratory pathogen surveillance\, updates on SARS-CoV-2 and influenza vaccine strain components\, updates on SARS-CoV-2 and influenza transmission globally\, information about new RSV vaccines and treatments\, and updates on other respiratory virus activity and surveillance programs. \n  \nA certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit. \nThis program is sponsored by the WSLH\, which is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program. \nAs part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process\, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates.
