Description of Session:

This one-day meeting presented by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) offers clinical and public health laboratorians, infection preventionists, and state and local public health representatives the chance to strengthen their relationships through networking and discussions on relevant laboratory issues.

The declaration of the COVID-19 Pandemic on March 11, 2020 began an Olympic effort for both the laboratory and public health communities that all the pandemic planning that had been done in the past did not prepare us for.  Now, more than a year and a half from the beginning of the pandemic, we are still dealing with surges and wondering when it will end.

Additionally we will provide a review of 2020-2021 WSLH Surveillance, discuss how the laboratory can aid the clinician in making clinical decisions, and provide some tips on how to maintain mindfulness of work-life balance to relieve stress and prevent burnout. We hope you will join us as we review the challenges of the pandemic, discuss our strategies for moving forward, and celebrate our successes.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 5.5 contact hours of instruction toward credit.

This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.

As part of the new P.A.C.E. continuing education process, please go to the ASCLS CE Organizer web site to print your P.A.C.E. certificates. You will be asked for a code number to print the certificate. We will provide you this number during the webinar.
