SARS-CoV-2, Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses Update – 2022

Description of Session:

This webinar will provide a review of the 2021 – 2022 respiratory virus season and will highlight our surveillance strategies and challenges for 2022-2023, based on our expectations, for the upcoming respiratory virus season.

Additional topics that will be discussed include a background in influenza and influenza surveillance, updates on the influenza vaccine strain components, new vaccine technologies for influenza vaccines in the future (mRNA vaccines, etc.), updates on influenza transmission globally, SARS-CoV-2 updates including continued WGS for strain surveillance, and updates on other respiratory virus activity and surveillance programs.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.
