Description:

This one-day meeting presented by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) offers clinical and public health laboratorians, infection preventionists, and local public health staff the chance to strengthen their relationships through networking and discussions of relevant laboratory issues.

This year’s meeting will cover updates to the many surveillance programs the WSLH is a part of, such as the antibiotic resistant network, Influenza, and other vaccine preventable illnesses.  Additionally we will hear an update on Dr. Munson’s statewide antimicrobial resistance tracking project.  We will walk you through the process that happens when laboratories identify a suspect bioterrorism agent and talk about Legionella and Measles. Finally, we will challenge everyone with a game of Kahoot and round out the day sharing a case study or two.
