WCLN Webinar – Emerging Laboratory Diagnostic Options for Sexually-transmitted Infections

January 20, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Emerging Laboratory Diagnostic Options for Sexually-transmitted Infections

Presenters:

  • Erik Munson, Ph.D., Technical Director, Wheaton Franciscan Laboratory, Milwaukee, WI

Description of Session:

Under-utilization of appropriate diagnostic modalities could result in missed opportunities for sexually-transmitted infection diagnosis. Moreover, a past perception that testing options for sexually-transmitted infection in males were non-existent is changing as a result of molecular diagnostics. The purpose of this session is to discuss these emerging diagnostic modalities.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.

This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
