Description of Session:

This webinar will briefly introduce Candida auris and describe why it is a current public health concern. The concentration will be on two attributes that set C. auris apart from other Candida species; antifungal resistance and a propensity to spread through healthcare networks. The webinar will describe resources for detection, surveillance and antifungal susceptibility testing currently available through the CDC and the ARLN network.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.
