Battling Infections of the Central Nervous System

Description of Session:

This session will provide a broad review of infections of the central nervous system (CNS), including the risk factors, common clinical presentations and treatment. The main focus of the presentation will be on the causative organisms that should be considered in cases of CNS infection, and the various laboratory diagnostics approaches available to identify those organisms.

 

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.

This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
