Description of Session:

This one day workshop is being coordinated by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene for Wisconsin clinical laboratory professionals. The workshop will allow participants to network and learn from colleagues as we discuss both the advantages and challenges associated with molecular and emerging technology testing. Some of the topics that will be discussed include laboratory automation, next generation sequencing, and the science behind some of the emerging technologies.  Panel discussions will encourage audience participation and also remind attendees of the importance of adopting a culture of biosafety in the molecular laboratory.
