Description of Session:
This one day conference will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about current topics in clinical and public health virology. Topics which will be discussed include: Clinical Virology Case Studies, An overview of virology test offerings and surveillance programs at WSLH, Next generation sequencing for surveillance of HCV, a rabies overview from public health/epidemiology and laboratory perspectives, updates on school-based absenteeism surveillance, updates to surveillance of and public health response to HIV, and a data modernization update. The conference will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about viruses of clinical and public health importance and to network with other clinical microbiologists in Wisconsin.
A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 6.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.
This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
