Out-of-state Requests for Clinical Testing Services

Attention: Customers requesting clinical testing services for specimens collected outside of Wisconsin

Please consult your state requirements before sending specimens to the WSLH for clinical testing or DNA banking services. Currently, the WSLH does not hold any separate out-of-state licenses in addition to the required CLIA certificates, and CAP accreditation.

At this time, by law, we cannot accept specimens sent from or collected in: California, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington D.C.

Samples sent from or originating in these listed states or district will be rejected.

Note: Some states have special requirements enforced by test. This list may not include all locations with out-of-state license requirements for clinical testing and is subject to change. The WSLH does not perform Direct-to-Consumer clinical testing services.  (Last reviewed August 2025.)
